The Kanazawa International Exchange Foundation (KIEF) was established in 1989 (the first year of Heisei and Kanazawa’s 100 year anniversary of being recognized as a city) with the aim to further open the city of Kanazawa to the world through various exchange activities. KIEF is actively working with citizens to utilize Kanazawa’s unique characteristics to promote international exchange and multiculturalism.
